What Have I Been Doing?
Writing a manuscript is a passionate affair with words that can last mere hours, days, or perhaps, even months. In my case, it’s been years.
I guess you may have been wondering what is going on with kimmosswrites.com. And even though it’s been awhile since I’ve told a story of my own via this blog, I’ve been working really hard on finishing Bailey’s story.
A couple of years ago, I was reading a draft of Leaving Nelson with some kids in a book club. They all wanted to know what was going to happen with Bailey next, so I wrote the draft of My Summer Storm. I’ve spent many hours this summer talking with beta readers and revising the manuscript so that it can go to the editor. It’s the second book in the series, which will be releasing sometime this fall.
And if you’re a writer, you also know that when you’re on… you better write. So that is what I have been doing.
I’ve been plugging away at the third and fourth books in Bailey’s series, and just last week, I finished. I’ll be working on revisions and edits for at least the next year or so, but I look forward to releasing more information about those books soon. It’s bittersweet for me to think of how it all ends, especially considering you’ve only just begun reading about these characters I’ve grown to love. I wanted you all to know that I do plan on blogging again soon. I’ve had a fun-filled summer with my family, and I’ve got lots of stories to tell.
In addition to writing, I have also finished working on a book trailer for Leaving Nelson, as well. What do you think?
